Bushnell Solar Panel for Camera The Bushnell Solar Panel is designed to function as a supplemental power source for all current models of Trophy Cam HD Aggressor, Trophy Cam HD Aggressor Wireless, Impulse, Core, CelluCore and Prime Series cameras. With the solar panel mounted close to your camera and connected to the external power input jack, you'll find that the camera's batteries last much longer before they need to be replaced. The solar panel has an internal lithium-ion battery, which is continuously charged by the solar cells when exposed to the sun. Once connected, the camera will draw power from the solar panel's charged lithium battery for as long as possible and switch to batteries only when the solar panel's battery charge level becomes too low. As a result, the camera batteries will have a significantly longer lifespan. Solar panel charging via USB: The solar panel also includes a USB port, allowing the internal battery to be “pre-charged” prior to use in the field, using a computer USB connection or similar available USB port. It is NOT necessary to do this before use, but it will allow you to start providing supplemental power to your camera immediately, rather than waiting for the solar cells to build up the proper charge. To use this feature, connect a compatible mini USB cable (not included) to the solar panel and to your computer or a suitable power source. The charging LED indicator on the back of the solar panel will illuminate red while charging is in progress, then turn green when charging is complete. Camera mounting and connection: A mounting bracket is included with the solar panel. The bracket should first be screwed to the tree at a point above the camera where the solar panel will be exposed to unobstructed sunlight for most of the day. With the swivel head securely attached to the tree stand, connect the threaded stud on the end of the swivel head to the mounting socket (1/4” x 20 metal) on the back of the solar panel. Loosen the knob on the swivel head and then the solar panel so that the solar cells face the sun. Once aligned, tighten both locking collars. Finally, connect the included cable to both the solar panel and the camera and collect and tie the loose cable.
