These are starting points, not substitutes for individual specifications. A larger objective does not automatically produce a better image: coatings, contrast, exit pupil, magnification and handling all affect the result.

CDS, ZeroLock, FireDot and Side Focus explained

CDS

ZeroLock

A locking mechanism designed to reduce accidental turret movement and help return to zero. The details of its operation vary between models and generations.

FireDot and MST

FireDot refers to an illuminated central aiming point on selected reticles. Some models also use movement-based illumination control, known as MST. Neither feature is present on every Leupold scope.

Side Focus

I had the pleasure of purchasing the 150th Anniversary Edition Cometa 400 Fenix at the lowest price I could find online from these kind people.
