Why Reload Your Own Ammunition?
Reloading metallic cartridges offers many advantages for both target shooters and hunters looking to achieve the highest possible accuracy from their firearms. Some of the main benefits include:
- Achieving greater accuracy by tailoring ammunition to a specific firearm.
- Obtaining more consistent velocities thanks to precisely measured powder charges.
- Reducing the cost per cartridge for many calibres.
- Continuing to shoot calibres for which factory ammunition is difficult to find.
- Selecting the most suitable bullet, powder and components for every shooting discipline.
- Maintaining complete control over the quality of every cartridge you assemble.
However, reloading also requires responsibility. Powder charges should never be improvised or taken from unverified sources. Every manufacturer publishes tested load data for its own components, and these published specifications should always be used as the reference throughout the entire reloading process.
Everything You Need for Reloading Metallic Cartridges
Metallic cartridge reloading has become increasingly popular among target shooters, hunters and precision shooting enthusiasts who want to get the very best performance from their ammunition. Beyond the potential cost savings offered by certain calibres, the greatest advantage of reloading is the ability to produce ammunition perfectly matched to your firearm, delivering greater consistency, improved accuracy and complete control over every component used.
Thanks to today's advanced reloading equipment and the wide range of components available, virtually any shooter can set up a dedicated reloading bench, provided that manufacturers' recommendations and basic safety rules are always followed. At Carbin Store you'll find a complete selection of reloading presses, reloading dies, shell holders, powder measures, case cleaning equipment, precision scales, priming tools, measuring instruments and accessories from the world's leading manufacturers.
Reloading is far more than simply assembling a cartridge. Every stage of the process directly affects accuracy, velocity, chamber pressure and overall safety. For that reason, it's essential to use high-quality equipment, follow proven load data and work through every step of the process in a careful and systematic manner.
What Equipment Do You Need to Start Reloading?
Although complete reloading kits are available, every reloading bench is built around a number of essential tools. Choosing the right equipment from the start will make the entire process easier while helping you produce safer, more consistent ammunition.
Reloading Press
The reloading press is the heart of every reloading setup. It performs operations such as resizing the brass, removing the spent primer, seating the new bullet and completing the finished cartridge. Single-stage, turret and progressive presses are available, each designed for different production volumes and levels of experience.
If you're still unsure which model best suits your needs, we've prepared a detailed buying guide explaining the differences, advantages and limitations of each type.

Reloading Dies and Shell Holders
Reloading dies return the brass case to the correct dimensions, remove the spent primer, expand the case neck when required and seat the bullet to the correct depth. Together with the shell holder, they securely hold the case throughout every operation performed on the press.
Selecting the correct die set for your calibre is one of the most important decisions in the entire reloading process.

Cleaning Brass Cases
Before beginning any reloading operation, every brass case should be carefully inspected and thoroughly cleaned. Clean brass protects your dies, makes resizing easier and allows cracks, deformations or any other defects that could compromise safety to be detected before reloading.
Today, several cleaning systems are available, including vibratory tumblers, rotary tumblers with stainless steel pins and ultrasonic cleaners.

Learn Every Step of the Reloading Process
The quality of a handloaded cartridge doesn't depend on a single tool, but on the entire reloading process. From the initial inspection of the brass cases to the final seating of the bullet, every operation directly affects the accuracy, safety and consistency of the finished cartridge.
That's why we've created a series of specialist guides covering the most important tools and techniques involved in metallic cartridge reloading. Whether you're just getting started or already have experience at the reloading bench, you'll find practical advice to help you choose the right equipment and achieve better results.
Start with the Complete Reloading Guide
If you're new to metallic cartridge reloading or simply want to review the entire process from start to finish, we've prepared a comprehensive guide explaining every stage required to produce safe and reliable ammunition.
You'll discover the complete workflow, from inspecting and cleaning brass cases through resizing, priming, measuring the powder charge, seating the bullet and carrying out the final inspection before the cartridge is ready for use.
In addition, every section includes direct links to our dedicated buying guides so you can explore each tool and process in greater detail whenever you need to.
How to Choose a Powder Measure
Powder is one of the most critical components in the reloading process. Even the slightest variation in powder charge can affect muzzle velocity, chamber pressure and, ultimately, the accuracy of every shot.
Our guide explains how the different types of powder measures work, when a manual or automatic powder measure is the best option, and which features you should consider to achieve consistent, repeatable powder charges every time you reload.

How to Choose the Best Reloading Bullets
The bullet is the component that ultimately reaches the target and one of the biggest factors influencing the ballistic performance of a cartridge. Weight, profile, ballistic coefficient and bullet construction should always match both the calibre and the intended application.
In this guide, we explain the different types of reloading bullets available for hunting, target shooting and long-range precision shooting, covering HPBT, FMJ, Soft Point, polymer-tipped bullets and many other popular designs from the industry's leading manufacturers.

Tips for Safe and Accurate Reloading
Reloading metallic cartridges requires method, patience and close attention to detail. Never use load data from unverified sources or modify the recommendations published by powder or bullet manufacturers. Every calibre, every brass case and every combination of components can generate different pressure levels, so it's essential to rely exclusively on tested load data and always follow the instructions provided in reputable reloading manuals.
In addition to using high-quality equipment, it's good practice to inspect every brass case before reloading, regularly check the calibration of your precision scale, keep your reloading bench clean and perform a final visual inspection of every completed cartridge. Accuracy depends not only on the firearm itself, but also on the consistency and quality of every round you produce.

Hello, Despite my antivirus alerts, this website is trustworthy. Very competitive prices, excellent communication, and incredibly fast delivery times. I placed an order on December 17, 2025, after contacting them by phone. They were very helpful and did everything they could to ship the package the same day... And indeed, it arrived two days later, on December 19, 2025, at 8:51 a.m. (Shipping from Spain to France, amazing!)

I had the pleasure of purchasing the 150th Anniversary Edition Cometa 400 Fenix at the lowest price I could find online from these kind people. I also indicated that I am passionate about wood and that it would be great if they could send me a nicely figured example. These come with Spanish Walnut stocks. I'm not sure what was done in the background, but I can certainly say my hopes were met on this point!! Excellent communication and overall customer service as I had a few inquiries that were promptly answered. Shipping to France was FAST, easy, and inexpensive. I don't normally write these reviews, but this exceptional service motivated me to do so. I highly recommend this store!
