We traveled to Malmö, Sweden, with the Spanish distributor Gamo, for hunting and shooting sports involving these famous Swedish red dots. They welcomed us with Swedish elegance and sobriety, displaying our names at the entrance along with the Spanish flag.
Why buy an Aimpoint?
This is the question we went to answer on-site, and believe me when I assure you that after visiting the factory, it is even easier to recommend this product. These are the most important features of these red dot sights, which we emphasize time and time again.
- The red dot on the target is the point of impact: there is no unnecessary time spent aiming.
- We shoot with both eyes open: the field of view is unlimited.
- Aimpoint® sights are developed and tested for use in any weather condition.
- Parallax free - Parallax Free
- Handmade and rigorously tested at the facilities in Sweden.
- Aimpoint has developed ACET battery technology, which means batteries can last nearly 50,000 hours.
Great emphasis was placed on these aspects during the training we received at their facilities.
Presentation of the new Aimpoint Acro C-1
We were introduced to the new Aimpoint Acro C-1, the smallest red dot on the market. Already available in the Spanish market.
A fact about Aimpoint quality
After a visit to the factory, where we could verify that all the elements making up the Aimpoint series are assembled in Malmö, and verify the quality of the lenses, tubes, and electronics, there is something that left us pleasantly surprised and that is essential for you to know: With hundreds of thousands of units sold, there is almost not a single issue due to manufacturing defects, even with use in extreme locations!! This is so true that the After-Sales service barely works a few hours a week!! Your investment with this red dot is more than well secured!! This is the main problem that occurs in any Aimpoint (poorly tightened battery cap or a sharp edge inserted to remove it). We explain it here. And of course, after seeing the theory, which is important but not what we like the most... let's go to the shooting range to test the product. During the afternoon, we enjoyed testing the product.
Enjoying the Aimpoint S-1 red dot
We mounted the Aimpoints on some fantastic Beretta 690s with 4* and 3* chokes, which were perhaps optimal for Skeet, though I would have opted for something tighter for the next day's outing.
Here is the unit with which I enjoyed these days in Sweden, with the Aimpoint S-1 mounted.
A fantastic product for hunting, which is mounted with great ease, and zeroing it is a matter of just a few shots.
The Aimpoint S-1 can be very useful for people just starting out in shooting.
We enjoyed a very fun shooting session with our colleagues from Spain and our hosts from Sweden, with incredible views of the sea and Calatrava's famous Turning Torso. The day of September 20th, with the equipment tuned up and this great gear, could only bring us satisfaction.
Hunting with an Aimpoint red dot in the Swedish countryside
The Aimpoint team took us to the Swedish countryside where we were going to enjoy a fantastic day of waterfowl hunting, with the Mallard being the star.
The waterfowl drive was organized in the small ponds; the sunny day facilitated visibility. Truthfully, the nature around us was something to admire; we were able to see a good handful of roe deer, fallow deer, and hares, and enjoy Swedish nature in its full essence.
Our Swedish friends organized a very Swedish country lunch for us at 12 PM, in a very special atmosphere. As you can see, they "hardly have any" roe deer... some date back to 1860.
The great work of the beaters and the retrievers allowed us to get the most out of the Aimpoints mounted on our Berettas. In total, almost 300 birds were bagged, and the general satisfaction of organizers and hunters was evident in the atmosphere.
Thanks to Aimpoint for the invitation!
From Grupo Algatec and Carabinasypistolas.com, we want to thank Aimpoint and Gamo for allowing us to enjoy these intense yet fun days. Being able to combine work and passion is not always possible; in this case, it was 100% pure technology and nature.
