Gamo Replay Magazines: GEN1, GEN2 & GEN3i Guide

Which Gamo magazine fits your air rifle? Discover the differences between Replay 10X GEN1, GEN2, GEN3i and 8X magazines and find the correct magazine for Gamo Replay, Arrow, Viper, Swarm,...

Choosing the correct Gamo magazine can be confusing, especially because Gamo has developed several generations of its multi-shot system over the years: Replay 10X GEN1, GEN2, GEN3i and the newer 8X GEN3i.

Although some magazines may look similar, they are not necessarily compatible with the same air rifles. In this guide we explain which Gamo magazine you need depending on your air rifle, its generation and calibre.

If you own a Gamo Replay, Arrow, Viper, Swarm, Roadster or Speedster, this buyer's guide will help you identify the correct magazine before ordering.

Which Gamo magazine do I need for my air rifle?

The safest way to choose the correct magazine is to check three details: the exact model of your air rifle, the generation of the multi-shot system and the calibre.

The earliest Gamo Replay systems are particularly easy to identify because the magazine sits vertically above the action. From GEN2 onwards, Gamo introduced a much lower-profile magazine positioned horizontally.

GEN3i retains this horizontal layout but incorporates an improved inertia-fed indexing system designed to make the loading cycle smoother.

Gamo Replay 10X GEN1: the original vertical magazine

The Gamo Replay 10X GEN1 was the first generation of Gamo's multi-shot system for break-barrel air rifles.

Its most distinctive feature is its design: the magazine sits vertically above the air rifle. This makes the first-generation system very easy to distinguish from GEN2 and GEN3i.

If your older Gamo Replay does not include GEN2 or GEN3 in its model name, it may use this first-generation Replay system.

You can find the replacement magazine here:

Gamo Replay X Multi-Shot Magazine

Which air rifles use the Gamo Replay X magazine?

The Replay X magazine is associated with Gamo's original Replay multi-shot system and is also used by the classic Gamo Arrow PCP Air Rifle .

The current Gamo Arrow uses a 10-shot Replay X magazine, making spare magazines particularly useful for longer shooting sessions.

Important: do not confuse the classic Gamo Arrow with the newer Arrow SLT. The Arrow SLT uses a different loading system, so always check the exact model before ordering a magazine.

Gamo 10X GEN2: the horizontal multi-shot magazine

With GEN2, Gamo substantially redesigned its multi-shot system.

The most obvious change is the position of the magazine. Instead of standing vertically above the rifle, the 10X GEN2 magazine sits horizontally, creating a considerably lower profile.

The Gamo 10X GEN2 Multi-Shot Magazine has a capacity of ten pellets.

According to the current product compatibility information, it is suitable for models including:

  • Gamo Replay 10 Magnum IGT GEN2
  • Gamo Speedster IGT GEN2
  • Gamo Roadster IGT GEN2
  • compatible Gamo Roadster GEN3 versions

Gamo Replay 10 Magnum IGT GEN2

One of the best-known examples of this second-generation platform is the Gamo Replay 10 Magnum IGT GEN2 Air Rifle .

It uses Gamo's second-generation 10-shot multi-shot system and combines it with the IGT gas-piston platform.

Gamo Speedster IGT 10X GEN2

The Gamo Speedster IGT 10X GEN2 also uses the GEN2 multi-shot system with a ten-shot rotary magazine.

Gamo Roadster IGT 10X GEN2

Another representative model is the Gamo Roadster IGT 10X GEN2 , which also incorporates the low-profile second-generation 10X system.

Gamo 10X GEN3i: improved inertia-fed magazine system

The third generation keeps the horizontal magazine concept introduced with GEN2 but develops the indexing mechanism further.

The 10X GEN3i system uses the inertial force generated during the firing cycle to index the magazine, producing a smoother loading process.

The replacement magazine is available here:

Gamo 10X GEN3i Multi-Shot Magazine

The current GEN3i magazine is listed for models including:

  • Speedster IGT 10X GEN3i
  • Swarm Magnum Pro IGT GEN3i
  • Roadster IGT 10X GEN3i
  • Viper Pro 10X IGT GEN3i

Gamo Viper Pro 10X GEN3i

A good example of this generation is the Gamo Viper Pro 10X GEN3i .

Its horizontal inertia-fed magazine is designed to be lighter and more compact than earlier multi-shot systems while maintaining a ten-shot capacity.

Gamo Swarm Magnum Pro 10X GEN3i

The Gamo Swarm Magnum Pro 10X GEN3i is another important model using the third-generation 10X system.

Gamo 8X GEN3i in 6.35 mm: why does it hold only eight pellets?

The Gamo 8X GEN3i system in 6.35 mm (.25 calibre) is a special case.

It is currently used by the Gamo Swarm Magnum Pro 8X GEN3i .

While the standard 10X systems hold ten pellets, the larger diameter of the 6.35 mm (.25) pellet means that this magazine has space for eight pellets.

That is why Gamo calls this version 8X GEN3i.

The magazine reference specified for this rifle is 6212672.

Important: the 8X magazine for 6.35 mm is specific to this platform and should not be confused with the 10X GEN3i magazines used with smaller calibres.

Still not sure which Gamo magazine you need?

Before buying, always check the exact model name, generation and calibre of your air rifle.

This is particularly important with Gamo Replay, Arrow, Roadster, Speedster, Viper and Swarm models, as visually similar rifles may use different magazine systems.

If in doubt, compare your existing magazine with the images above or contact our specialist team with the exact model name of your Gamo air rifle.

Frequently asked questions about Gamo magazines

Which magazine does my Gamo Replay air rifle use?

First-generation Gamo Replay rifles use the original vertically mounted Replay-style magazine. Later GEN2 and GEN3i models use lower-profile horizontal magazine systems. Always check the full model designation before ordering.

How can I identify a Gamo GEN1 magazine?

The main identifying feature is its vertical position above the air rifle. GEN2 and GEN3i magazines are flatter and sit horizontally.

Are Gamo GEN2 and GEN3i magazines the same?

No. Although both systems use a horizontal layout and can look similar, compatibility should never be assumed from appearance alone. Always check the models listed for the specific magazine.

How many pellets does a Gamo 10X magazine hold?

A standard Gamo 10X magazine holds ten pellets.

Why does the Gamo 8X magazine hold only eight pellets?

The 8X GEN3i system is designed for the larger 6.35 mm (.25) calibre. Because each pellet has a larger diameter, the magazine accommodates eight pellets instead of ten.

Which magazine does the Gamo Arrow use?

The classic Gamo Arrow PCP uses a ten-shot Replay X magazine. Newer versions such as the Arrow SLT use a different loading configuration, so the exact Arrow model should always be checked before purchasing a spare magazine.

I placed an order on December 17, 2025, after contacting them by phone. They were very helpful and did everything they could to ship the package the same day... And indeed, it arrived two days later, on December 19, 2025, at 8:51 a.m. (Shipping from Spain to France, amazing!)

I had the pleasure of purchasing the 150th Anniversary Edition Cometa 400 Fenix at the lowest price I could find online from these kind people. I also indicated that I am passionate about wood and that it would be great if they could send me a nicely figured example. These come with Spanish Walnut stocks. I'm not sure what was done in the background, but I can certainly say my hopes were met on this point!! Excellent communication and overall customer service as I had a few inquiries that were promptly answered. Shipping to France was FAST, easy, and inexpensive. I don't normally write these reviews, but this exceptional service motivated me to do so. I highly recommend this store!
