Every hunter is different; that is why RWS presents a wide range of RWS projectiles to adapt to every hunter and every hunting style, whether it be big game (driven hunts, stalking, battue, and even African calibers) or small game.
The RWS brand has a long history and extensive experience in the development and production of metallic ammunition, making them leaders worldwide in cartridge sales and earning great recognition among all hunters. Furthermore, the RWS brand has been present in many Olympic shooting victories.
Among their product catalog, we can find various calibers, from the most common among hunters such as .30-06, 7 mm Rem. Mag., .270 WIN, .308 WIN, or .300 WIN. MAG., to more specific calibers such as .338 Lapua Mag. or .375 H.
But what we are going to focus on in this post is the different projectiles offered by the German brand. Among their bullets, we can find fragmentation projectiles, controlled deformation projectiles, ecological (lead-free) projectiles, or those with the highest precision. Let's go into detail.
RWS Evolution Green Projectile (Ecological)
The RWS EVO Green bullet is a partial fragmentation bullet that features two cores; like all basic lead-free ammunition, these two cores are made of tin, making it ideal for game meat preservation for food. The RWS EVOLUTION GREEN ammunition belongs to the new range of lead-free ammunition. This ammunition achieves great impact thanks to the multiple frontal perforations of the tin cores that facilitate taking down any animal. Within the RWS projectile range, great emphasis is being placed on current ecological awareness, without forgetting that hunters are the primary conservationists.
Parts of the Evolution Green Projectile:
1. Stronger jacket for a reliable exit wound.
2. Front core made of food-safe tin with a radial pre-determined breakpoint for reliable behavior and impressive impact effect.
3. High-velocity ammunition for impressive impact effect and a flat trajectory.
4. Thin jacket for a reliable and fast response.
5. Sharp edge for cutting hair at the point of impact (Cutting Edge).

RWS HIT Projectile (Ecological)
The new RWS HIT bullet has been developed as the primary lead-free alternative for hunters who prefer non-lead projectiles. Additionally, the HIT bullet leaves a mushroom-shaped residual body that maintains its stable mass. This guarantees great penetration power and a reliable exit of the bullet, even at high impact velocities or when encountering high resistance in the target, such as bone.
Unlike fragmentation projectiles, the RWS HIT projectile, lead-free and with stable mass, transfers its energy exclusively through 100% splinter-free mushrooming within the animal. The result: the best possible preservation of the game meat.
Parts of the HIT Projectile:
1. RWS ACC (Active Crater Cavity) for actively accelerated mushrooming and high shock effect.
2. RWS TC-Tip (Twin Compression Tip): with 2 hollow chambers providing effective initial deformation and a flat trajectory.
3. Solid copper projectile with nickel plating and a very high ballistic coefficient (BC).
4. Boat-tail base for precision and flight stability.

RWS ID Classic Projectile
The RWS ID Classic bullet ideally combines the effect of width and depth in the target, achieving lethal damage to the animal. This is achieved thanks to the union of two cores of different hardness interlocked in a peg shape.
The softer front core fragments in a controlled manner, thus transmitting great energy to the animal's body. Compared to the RWS UNI Classic projectile, the rear core of the ID CLASSIC projectile deforms heavily like a mushroom, making it especially recommended for light to medium-weight animals.
The ID Classic bullet has a steel jacket with a nickel layer that protects the barrel and gradually thickens towards the rear for controlled deformation. Thanks to the torpedo-shaped rear section, very good flight stability is achieved.
Parts of the ID Classic Projectile:
1. Harder rear core for convincing depth effect.
2. Sharp edge for cutting hair upon penetration (Cutting Edge).
3. Softer front core for controlled fragmentation and high efficacy.
4. Nickel-plated steel jacket for increased barrel durability.
