FX Airguns Panthera PCP Air Rifle An air rifle specially designed to win competitions. The FX Panthera is unlike any FX Airguns rifle before it. It is a dedicated slug rifle, designed specifically with precision competitions in mind. Airgun legacy and pushing the limits of airgun performance. The Panthera includes technology that shows a generational leap for an airgun. It starts with the new Dynamic Block, a new breech block designed from the ground up for high-performance slug shooting. The dynamic block uses a compact one-piece valve. This high-power/short-throw tube is extremely efficient and allows for immense, precise airflow. The plenum design (i.e. Dynamic Plenum) that powers the Panthera is revolutionary and the first of its kind. It is an over-the-barrel chamber that provides a uniformly regulated pressurized chamber around the barrel, adding greater rigidity to the barrel and allowing multiple chamber lengths to be used to match the caliber and power of the rifle. The unique AMP MKII regulator maintains precise pressure levels. Initially three sizes of plenum will be used: a Micro Plenum (rifles under 12 ft/lb), Macro Plenum (62cc) and Magnum XL Plenum (156cc). The results of Dynamic Breech & Plenum are extraordinary! Tests have returned consistent 10-shot series with standard deviations in the low 1.0-2.0 range and extreme differentials as low as 3-4. This ability to precisely control airflow coupled with the world-class FX Superior STX barrel using premium pellets will result in competition wins, and not just in airgun competitions. .22LR precision shooters will identify the ability to shoot the same bullets and BC weights they are used to, but with the control and standard deviations that only FX air rifles can offer. Stock is designed for competition. It features a full length 14.75" Arca rail with M-LOK sections and a barricade block located next to the breech (you can achieve an ideal balance point by adding M-LOK compatible external weights or internal FX barrel weights that clip under the hood.) The Panthera further accommodates the shooter by using a fully adjustable stock and adjustable cheek piece that is also ambidextrous. The air source is a rear-attached 300cc carbon fiber bottle and is filled via a rear-located rear-mounted quick-disconnect. The Dynamic Block has a larger chamber than previous rifles allowing for shells up to 13mm in length. It uses the Standard Side-Shot magazine but with a newly designed deeper cap to accommodate longer pellets. The FX Panthera employs the Quick Tune system (the same as found on the FX Impact M3), uses a 20 MOA Picatinny scope rail, comes standard with a zero-angle AR grip, and has an ambidextrous side-cocking grip that it is reversible. Dual angle gauges on the left side of the block display cylinder pressure and regulated plenum pressure. The FX Panthera will be offered in three configurations, the Panthera 700, Panthera 600 and Panthera 500 (corresponding to barrel length). The Panthera 600 and 700 use the FX Superior Heavy STX barrel liner as standard, as they have been specifically designed for slug shooting. The Panthera 500 uses the standard FX Superior STX barrel liner that fires buckshot and light bullets. The rifle allows for quick changing of barrel liners, but only an authorized FX dealer can change calibers and fit different barrel lengths on the Panthera. Additional accessories will be offered to further customize the rifle, including a stock magazine, barrel counterweights, offset M-LOK counterweights, smaller profile Competition Mini-Mag, Picatinny accessory sections, and an optional tungsten hammer.
