The intuitive HELIA 42 Rangefinder (RF) model combines an extraordinary optical sight with a reliable distance measurement system of up to 1500m on relevant targets (game species, trees, etc.). It stands out for its easy operation and its common hunting functions, such as the scanner mode and the patented EAC function for angle correction.

With the new model HELIA 42 RF, KAHLES presents the improved successor to the popular HELIA RF. Its refined distance measurement technology now allows precise measurements of hunting-relevant targets up to 1500m away.

With the lens technology of the Helia Rangefinder binoculars, clear images are obtained with great sharpness of details and natural contrast. The simple and intuitive operation/menu layout allows display of the patented KAHLES EAC (Enhanced Angle Compensation) function for angle correction, the LongRange (LR) function for measuring the distance to simple targets up to 4500m and additionally the display of ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure. The scanner mode, which continuously measures the distance of moving targets, and the sharp, high-quality OLED display, which now offers an even more precise reticle for aiming at targets, complete the set of distinguished features for The hunt.

In order to hit the target precisely when shooting at an angle, in addition to the standard (linear) distance measurement, the patented KAHLES EAC (Enhanced Angle Compensation) function can be calculated and displayed, which is even more exact and is based on the classic Rifleman's Rule. While in the case of the Rifleman's Rule only the distance is determined purely mathematically and at the same level, the EAC function offers a more ballistically relevant basis.

The five manually and easily adjustable lighting levels (and without additional access to the menu) allow the screen to be quickly and fixedly adapted to the light conditions at all times (avoids an automatic/unwanted change). Power management has also been optimized and now offers longer battery life (from ~4000 measurements).

The ergonomic layout of the function buttons and the light pressure point of the Rangefinder function ensure that simultaneous observation and measurement go together perfectly. The body of the device and the various control elements have been designed with practicality in mind and, together with the waterproof and resistant aluminum casing, offer the best protection in harsh conditions, a good grip and a pleasant feeling to the touch.
