Nikko Stirling Mount Master scopes include different specifications depending on their use and optical capabilities. It is important to know the meaning of the acronyms to choose the right model.

    Key differences between variants:

HMD (Half Mil-Dot): Half Mil-Dot reticle, allowing finer adjustments to ballistic drop and windage compensation. It is more accurate than the standard Mil-Dot reticle.
AO (Adjustable Objective): Adjustable objective, which allows you to correct parallax and improve sharpness at different distances. Essential for precision shooting.
IR (Illuminated Reticle): Illuminated reticle, with red or green brightness adjustment, useful in low light conditions or with low contrast backgrounds.
    Summary of each configuration:

HMD → Standard Half Mil-Dot reticle, no additional adjustments.
HMD AO → Half Mil-Dot reticle with parallax adjustment on target.
HMD AO IR → Half Mil-Dot reticle with parallax and illumination adjustment.
Conclusion: If you are looking for a versatile scope for variable distances, choose a model with AO. If you also need good visibility in low light conditions, opt for IR.

The Nikko Stirling Mount Master is available in various combinations of magnification and lens diameters, which influences the effective distance of use and light collection.

Comparison of models according to magnification and objective:

    4x32 HMD/AO/AO IR

Fixed 4x magnification with 32mm lens.
Compact, light and fast in acquiring the target.
Recommended for: Instinctive shooting and short distances (up to 30m).
    3-9x40 HMD/AO/AO IR

Variable magnification 3-9x with 40mm lens.
Versatile for shooting at different distances, good luminosity.
Recommended for: Small game hunting, sports shooting and high-power rifles.
    4-12x50 HMD AO/AO IR

4-12x variable magnification with 50mm lens.
Greater light capture, ideal for long distances.
Recommended for: Precision hunting, long range shooting and low light environments.
    Which one to choose?

For short distances and speed → 4x32.
For greater versatility and mid-range shooting → 3-9x40.
For maximum precision and luminosity at long range → 4-12x50.

Benefits of AO (Adjustable Objective) in Nikko Stirling scopes:

It allows you to adjust the parallax, reducing errors in the alignment of the reticle with the target.
Ensures a sharper image at different distances.
It is essential for long-range precision shooting, where parallax can affect aim.
    Recommended for:

Long range shots (+30m) where precision is key.
Compressed air rifles with variations in the projectile trajectory.
Shots with powers greater than 16J, where parallax errors can affect grouping.
Conclusion: If you are looking for extreme precision, always choose a scope with AO.

    Benefits of Illuminated Reticle (IR):

Better visibility in low light conditions (sunrise, dusk, dark interiors).
Greater contrast with white, making it easier to aim on dark or moving backgrounds.
Brightness adjustment to adapt to different lighting environments.
When to choose a scope with IR?

If you hunt or shoot in low light conditions.
For dark or camouflaged backgrounds, where the standard black reticle can be lost.
If you need a quick and visually clear adjustment of the point of impact.
Conclusion: If you hunt or shoot in low light conditions, the IR version will give you a key advantage.

    11/03/2024

The first online purchase I made at this gun shop is worthy of framing with an unbeatable impression. I ordered several models of pellets… and the truth is that they arrived like a bullet. They didn't even take 18 hours! I received the order in perfect packaging, which made it easier to preserve during transport. A single box of pellets arrived with them quite dirty, as if there was little turnover of that item, but nothing out of the ordinary and that can't be solved by cleaning them before firing them. In short, excellent service and good product. They have gained a repeat customer.
