Beretta enters the world of hunting rifles and opts for the rectilinear system, creating a revolutionary weapon that combines all of Beretta's experience with rifled rifles, developed over years of work in both the military and civilian sectors. The BRX1 guarantees maximum speed, accuracy, safety, and ease of use, both in reloading and repeat shooting: essence, instinct, reliability, and everything you could ask for from a rifle.
The matte black, surface-anodized aluminum alloy receiver, machined with the utmost care and featuring innovative control systems, houses the mechanism and barrel locking system. The bolt is configured with an 8-lug rotating head, complete with an extractor pawl and ejector pin: this ultra-secure locking system is directly derived from military automatic weapons. To ensure greater security and robustness, the bolt head on magnum calibers has 16 lugs (8+8 in line).
The bolt handle features a medium-sized spherical ball positioned perpendicular to the trigger for improved ergonomics and faster reloading. When designing the BRX1, Beretta engineers also considered the needs of left-handed shooters; the bolt handle and case ejection system are easily reversible, in just a few seconds and without the use of tools. The safety is thumb-operated and has three positions: the first locks both the trigger and the bolt; the middle locks only the trigger, but allows the bolt to be opened for safe loading and unloading; the third releases both the shot and the magazine.
The currently available barrels are 510 mm or 570 mm long. The rifling pitch is 1/11 for .30 calibers (308 Win, 30-0 SPRG, 300 WIN MAG). All barrels have an M14 muzzle thread for mounting accessories such as muzzle brakes and silencers, protected by a knurled thread cover.
For the BRX1, a special orange polymer stock with a non-slip finish has been developed, which is more pronounced on the pistol grip and the lower area of the forend. Sling attachments are integrated into the stock and forend. The standard grip can be replaced with other sizes, for greater adaptability to the shooter's hand and preferences. The stock length can be adjusted using optional butt plates and spacers from 350 mm to over 390 mm.
Interchangeability with barrels of different calibers, three trigger pull positions, and a tool-free ambidextrous bolt action make the BRX1 a modern, modular, and versatile weapon, suitable for all types of hunters, types of game, and environments.
