SportDOG TEK GPS tracking systems for hunting dogs

SportDOG TEK systems are intended for hunters and dog handlers who need to know the location of dogs working beyond their line of sight. Location data is transmitted directly between the collar and handheld device by radio.

The SportDOG TEK 1.5 has a stated maximum range of 11 km and can track up to 12 collars. Depending on the selected configuration, it can combine GPS tracking with remote training functions.

The SportDOG TEK 2.0 uses GPS and GLONASS, includes topographic mapping and has a stated maximum range of 16 km. According to the manufacturer, it can manage up to 21 dogs or compatible devices.

SportTrainer remote training collars

The SportTrainer range is designed for remote training and control without necessarily including GPS tracking. Depending on the model, the handheld transmitter can provide an audible tone, vibration and adjustable static stimulation levels.

The SportTrainer 425X, for example, provides a stated range of up to 450 metres, 21 stimulation levels and the option to expand the system for several dogs using compatible receiver collars.

Other SportTrainer models provide different operating ranges and configurations. Choose according to the terrain, number of dogs, handler experience and intended type of training.

Water resistance and DryTek technology

SportDOG equipment is designed for demanding field conditions. Selected collars and handheld devices feature DryTek technology and different levels of water resistance.

Maximum immersion depth and water protection are not identical across all components. Always check the specifications of the individual model before using it in heavy rain, wet ground or water.

SportDOG receivers, beepers and accessories

Depending on the model, an existing SportDOG system can be expanded with compatible additional receivers, beepers, electronic modules, collar straps and locator lights.
