Zamberlan hunting and walking boots: GORE‑TEX, Vibram and BOA

Artemis GTX CFVersatile for long walks, field use and hills
Sierra GTX CFLightweight, comfortable and hunting-focused
Leopard GTX RR BOAHigh cut, added protection and BOA fit
Which Zamberlan boots should you choose? Choose the Artemis for versatile use over long distances, the Sierra when low weight and comfort are the priority, and the Leopard when you need a high cut, greater external protection and the precise adjustment of the BOA Fit System.

Zamberlan hunting boots for demanding ground

Zamberlan develops technical footwear for activities where support, wet-weather protection and all-day comfort matter. A hunting boot must do more than keep water out: it should hold the foot securely, provide dependable grip, allow a natural stride and suit the ground, distance and pace of the wearer.

Carbin’s range centres on three clearly differentiated models. All use GORE‑TEX Performance Comfort and sole solutions associated with Vibram, but the height, upper materials, weight, last and closure system vary. This makes it possible to choose Zamberlan hunting boots by genuine need rather than price or appearance alone.

Zamberlan boots compared

Versatile

Zamberlan 189 Artemis GTX CF

The Zamberlan 189 Artemis GTX CF is designed for covering plenty of miles across fields and hills. It combines Hydrobloc-treated Perwanger leather and Cordura with a GORE‑TEX Performance Comfort membrane and Vibram Grivola outsole. It is the balanced option for walkers and hunters who need comfort and durability without the tallest boot in the range.

Light and comfortable

Zamberlan 700 Sierra GTX CF

The Zamberlan 700 Sierra GTX CF was designed specifically for hunting. It uses Hydrobloc microfibre and Cordura, GORE‑TEX, an EVA wedge and a Zamberlan Vibram Star Lite outsole. Its Comfort Fit last and stated weight of 590 g per boot in size 42 support active days on low ground or in the hills.

High cut and BOA

Zamberlan 4013 Leopard GTX RR BOA

The Zamberlan 4013 Leopard GTX RR BOA combines Hydrobloc nubuck, GORE‑TEX, a Zamberlan Vibram 3D Camo outsole and the BOA Fit System. Its high cut, protective rand and dial adjustment suit woodland, undergrowth and rough ground where greater support is desirable.

GORE‑TEX, Vibram, Hydrobloc and BOA explained

GORE‑TEX membrane

All three models use GORE‑TEX Performance Comfort. The membrane helps prevent water entering while allowing some of the moisture vapour generated by the foot to escape. Keeping the outer and lining clean helps preserve performance.

Vibram outsoles

The Artemis, Sierra and Leopard use different soles. Grivola, Star Lite and 3D Camo are not interchangeable names: tread pattern, flexibility and walking response vary from one model to another.

Hydrobloc treatment

Hydrobloc is used on the specified upper materials to help protect them from moisture and dirt. It does not remove the need to clean and maintain leather, nubuck or microfibre with a suitable product.

BOA Fit System

On the Leopard, a BOA dial replaces traditional laces. It allows the wearer to adjust support quickly and evenly, which is useful when the closure needs to be operated without spending time re-lacing the boot.

Comfort Fit

The Sierra uses Zamberlan’s Comfort Fit last, intended to provide additional room and comfort. Perceived width still depends on foot shape, sock thickness and the selected size.

Height and protection

A high-cut boot provides more coverage and support, but also adds weight and stiffness. The Leopard prioritises protection, while the Sierra and Artemis offer more restrained options for covering long distances.

How to choose your Zamberlan boot size

The correct size should prevent your toes striking the front on descents while keeping excessive heel lift under control. Try the boots with the type of hunting or walking sock you intend to use, preferably later in the day when feet may be slightly larger.

Do not automatically order the same size as an everyday shoe. The last changes between models: the Sierra uses Comfort Fit, while the Leopard uses the ZBPK last. If you are between sizes or need to confirm internal width and length, ask Carbin before placing your order.

Zamberlan men’s and women’s boots for different pursuits

Searches for Zamberlan men’s boots and women’s boots often reflect questions about size, volume and fit. Use the size range and individual product information rather than relying solely on a gender label. The Sierra and Artemis cover broad size ranges, while the Leopard is positioned as a high hunting boot with BOA.

For stalking and active hunting, keeping weight controlled is valuable. In dense woodland, brambles and broken terrain, a higher boot can provide useful coverage. For mixed walking days, comfort and flex matter; in wet conditions, membrane performance, maintenance and drying should be considered together.

Zamberlan versus other hunting boot brands

Zamberlan stands out in this selection through Italian technical construction, GORE‑TEX membranes and different Vibram solutions. Other manufacturers follow different approaches. Compare lighter options among Hart boots, further Italian technical footwear from Diotto, hunting models from Beretta and active-use footwear in the RTC collection.

Advice before buying

The most robust model is not automatically the most suitable. Begin with the ground, ascent, duration, temperature and protection required. Then compare weight, last, boot height and closure, and check which sizes are currently available.

Hello, Despite my antivirus alerts, this website is trustworthy. Very competitive prices, excellent communication, and incredibly fast delivery times. I placed an order on December 17, 2025, after contacting them by phone. They were very helpful and did everything they could to ship the package the same day... And indeed, it arrived two days later, on December 19, 2025, at 8:51 a.m. (Shipping from Spain to France, amazing!)

I had the pleasure of purchasing the 150th Anniversary Edition Cometa 400 Fenix at the lowest price I could find online from these kind people. I also indicated that I am passionate about wood and that it would be great if they could send me a nicely figured example. These come with Spanish Walnut stocks. I'm not sure what was done in the background, but I can certainly say my hopes were met on this point!! Excellent communication and overall customer service as I had a few inquiries that were promptly answered. Shipping to France was FAST, easy, and inexpensive. I don't normally write these reviews, but this exceptional service motivated me to do so. I highly recommend this store!
