Garmin dog collars can be used to locate, track or train hunting dogs, depending on the selected model. This category includes Garmin Alpha handhelds, GPS dog collars, remote training systems, additional receiver collars and bark-control devices.
Not every Garmin collar provides the same functions. Some models are intended exclusively for GPS dog tracking, while others combine tracking and training or work solely as remote training collars. Checking compatibility between the dog collar and the handheld device is therefore essential before purchasing.
The Garmin Alpha range is designed to track dogs across hunting grounds and extensive outdoor areas. A system consists of a compatible handheld device and one or more dog collars. Depending on the collar selected, it can provide tracking only or combine location data with remote training functions.
The Garmin Alpha 300i is the handheld used to manage compatible dog collars. It allows the user to view the dog’s position, direction, distance and activity information on the device’s mapping.
The correct version must be selected according to collar compatibility. Alpha 300i works with compatible T20 and TT25 collars, whereas Alpha 300i K is intended for K20 and KT25 collars.

The choice between T20 and TT25 depends on whether you only need to locate the dog or also require remote training functions.
The Garmin Alpha K20 is intended for tracking and works with compatible K-version handhelds, such as Alpha 300i K. The Garmin Alpha KT25 combines tracking with training functions.
K20 and KT25 should not be purchased as direct replacements for T20 or TT25 without checking the exact handheld version and system compatibility.
As a general reference, models identified by T or K are designed for tracking, while the TT and KT versions also include training functions.
Always check the complete product name, exact reference and compatibility information before choosing a collar.

Important: the manufacturer’s maximum range figures apply under favourable conditions. Terrain, valleys, dense vegetation, buildings, other obstacles and interference can reduce the effective distance between the dog collar and the handheld.
Garmin PRO and Sport PRO systems are intended for remote dog training. They use a handheld transmitter and one or more compatible receiver collars. Depending on the model, they provide tone, vibration and different stimulation levels.
These functions must be used responsibly and with a setting suited to the individual dog. A training collar does not replace the previous teaching of recall, obedience and basic commands.
The Garmin Sport PRO is a compact remote training system designed for one-handed use. Its physical controls allow the user to select different levels and activate tone, vibration or stimulation.
The system can work with up to three dogs when compatible additional collars are added. The Garmin Sport PRO handheld is also available separately.
View Garmin Sport PROThe Garmin PRO 550 Pack is intended for handlers who require precise, direct control. It provides different levels of momentary or continuous stimulation, together with tone and vibration.
The system can be expanded for multiple dogs using compatible receiver collars. Its main functions are operated directly from the handheld transmitter.
View Garmin PRO 550The Garmin PRO 550 Plus combines training controls with basic tracking information. When paired with a compatible collar, it can show the dog’s direction and distance.
It is suitable for users who prefer direct button controls and require a position reference without using a complete map-based Alpha handheld.
View Garmin PRO 550 PlusThe Garmin PRO 70 Pack is a remote dog training system with straightforward physical controls. It can be expanded to work with multiple dogs by adding compatible receiver collars.
This system is intended for handlers who prioritise quick operation and do not require the map functions available on Garmin Alpha handhelds.
View Garmin PRO 70Additional receiver collars allow compatible Garmin training systems to work with another dog. Available options include the Garmin PRO PT10 collar and the blue Garmin PRO PT10 collar.
Different colours make it easier to identify each dog when working with several receivers. Before purchasing, confirm that the existing handheld supports the PT10 receiver and the required number of dogs.
The Garmin BarkLimiter Deluxe is a standalone bark-control collar. It is designed to detect the vibrations produced by the dog’s own barking and operate according to its available settings.
BarkLimiter is not a GPS collar and cannot locate the dog. It is also not an additional receiver collar for Alpha, Sport PRO or PRO systems.
Compatibility is the most important consideration when buying a Garmin dog collar. Products from the same brand are not automatically compatible. Alpha, PRO and Sport PRO are separate product families and use specific dog devices.
Always check the complete model name and product reference. Before buying an additional collar, identify whether your device is an Alpha 300i, Alpha 300i K, Sport PRO, PRO 550, PRO 550 Plus or PRO 70.
Garmin T20 is designed for GPS dog tracking. Garmin TT25 combines GPS tracking with tone, vibration and stimulation training functions when used with a compatible Garmin handheld.
Garmin K20 is intended for tracking, whereas Garmin KT25 also provides training functions. Both belong to the K variant and require a compatible handheld such as Garmin Alpha 300i K.
Compatibility should not be assumed. Garmin Alpha 300i and Alpha 300i K use different collar variants. Check the exact product reference and select the family specified for the handheld.
Garmin Alpha can provide tracking and training functions, but the available features depend on the paired dog collar. TT25 and KT25 provide training functions, whereas T20 and K20 are intended for tracking.
Garmin PRO 550 Plus can display basic direction and distance information when paired with a compatible collar. It does not provide the same map-based display as a Garmin Alpha handheld.

I had the pleasure of purchasing the 150th Anniversary Edition Cometa 400 Fenix at the lowest price I could find online from these kind people. I also indicated that I am passionate about wood and that it would be great if they could send me a nicely figured example. These come with Spanish Walnut stocks. I'm not sure what was done in the background, but I can certainly say my hopes were met on this point!!
